Real Democracy Now

During the last week protesters have occupied many of the central squares all over Spain in order to ask for a re foundation of Democracy and against the situations and attitudes which led to the financial crisis. The concentrations have popped up during the political campaign for local and regional elections in most of the country. Unemployment is over 20% in Spain, raising to 43% among youth, and politicians are seen as one of the main problems in the last national surveys.

The main protest takes place in Plaza del Sol, the main square in Madrid, where the Km zero is set for all the Spanish roads. The following are two videos and a photo gallery summarizing what happens in Sol.
